  • Small Saucepan
  • Coffee Flannel Filter
  • Spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz Water
  • 4 tbsp Puerto Rican Strong Ground Coffee
  • 4-8 oz Whole milk
  • Sugar (Optional)

Instructions
 

  • Bring to boil 8 ounces of water
  • Add 4 tablespoons of strong Puerto Rican ground coffee
  • Allow the mixture to boil for 2-3 minutes
  • Filter the mixture through a coffee flannel into a coffee mug
  • Warm 4-8 ounces of milk almost to a boil
  • Add Milk to coffee according to your taste. Less milk for strong coffee more for lighter.
  • Add sugar (Optional)

Café con leche

 Literally coffee with milk in Spanish is a coffee beverage common throughout Spain and Latin America consisting of strong coffee (usually espresso) mixed with scalded milk in approximately equal amounts. The amount of milk can be higher in a café con leche en vaso or a café con leche de desayuno.Cuban and Puerto Rican establishments often prepare the drink with sugar.  Sugar or sweetener is added to taste. It is similar to the Italian caffè latte and the French café au lait.
